Harvard Square on October 13th was full of people enjoying the Oktoberfest with food, music and arts and crafts everywhere. Harvard Square is usually a busy place but the Oktoberfest is exceptional! Empowered Voices was there presenting the Uganda project and selling handicraft from our women's group. And we sold a lot! Marjorie from Lene's work was there for several hours helping out and Elbert (one of the board members) and his daughter Jackie came to support at the end of the day - buying Lene nice, warm tea after standing outside for hours :-) We talked to a lot of people that were interested in the project and many people enjoyed looking at the beautiful jewelry.
